Just one freaking review!! What's wrong with me? Didn't make much of a dent. Guess I've been too busy reading and buying new books. I'm going to work on the reviews this weekend, though. Afraid this huge pile is going to fall over and kill me!

I was so naughty today. Went to the post office and picked up 9 books which were part of my last BAM shipment. Then I went to BAM at the mall and bought 10 books - 6 on sale and 4 were clearance. Good books, too! Then what did I do when I got home? Placed an order for 17 more books. So many books, so little time. I can't help myself - it's not my fault all these great new series are coming out, and that my favorite authors have new releases. It's all their fault!

I've got to get my fat ass in gear!

Yep, I did it again, after swearing I wouldn't....I let the books I need to review pile up again! They're like a tall wall, sitting on my desk next to my chair. Can't see over it! I felt overwhelmed, so I just put it off longer. Let's see if I can make a dent before the new year is here! I read so many books, and I wait so long to do reviews, that it's difficult to remember what I've read. But I'll give it my best shot.

Wicked Highlander (Dark Sword, Book 3) by Donna Grant

The Dark Sword series unleashes the magic, passion, and fury of three legendary brothers—cursed by fate but bound by desire for the women they love…

The most reckless and fierce of the MacLeod brothers, Quinn is a prisoner of the god inside him, tormented by his inability to save his family from slaughter. His fury governs him, and day by day he loses himself to the darkenss in his soul. But Quinn has a profound yearning for a woman’s love….

Raised by Druids, the achingly beautiful Marcail is as spellbinding as the ancient magic that surges through her body. To Quinn, she is most desirable woman he has ever known. But to his enemy Deirdre, she is the perfect bait to lure Quinn into her trap. Once the two lovers are in her wicked grasp, their passion will be put to the ultimate test…

This has quickly become a favorite series of mine. Historical paranormal romance - LOVE the genre! I must admit that I did enjoy the first two books a little more than this one. I think it was because I was so looking forward to Quinn's story that I was expecting a little too much. There was great chemistry between the leads, and I was glad to see the first two brothers also make an appearance. I'm thrilled to know that Donna Grant will be continuing this series with the other warriors who have met up with the brothers.

My Rating: ****

It's been a long, long week! So glad that today is Friday. The week didn't start out well - Bent down just a tiny bit Monday, and I guess my sciatic nerve got pinched. OWWWWWWWWWWW! I had to use a cane for a couple of days. Luckily there's just a little pain now. Got some Christmas decorating done, just a little left to do. Haven't done any wrapping or shipping yet. I am the worst procrastinator!!

I did get some books today, so that always cheers me up. At the used bookstore I got Forbidden by Elizabeth Lowell, Deceived by Nicola Cornick, The Bargain Bride by Barbara Metzger, Love Bites by Lynsay Sands, and Compromised Hearts by Hannah Howell.

I ordered just a few things from Amazon. I love the artwork of Jessica Galbreth, so I ordered her Night Magick calendar. I've gone with Victoria Frances for the last 2 years, so I figured I needed a change. Haven't gotten it yet. But I did get the 4 books I ordered: Broken Wing by Judith James, The Scot and I by Elizabeth Thornton, Never Romance a Rake by Liz Carlyle, and Countess of Scandal by Laurel McKee. I'm reading Broken Wing right now, and it's totally awesome. I've cried or wanted to cry through most of the book - it's just so touching!

You know how I swore I wouldn't let the books needing reviewing pile up? I, uh, have 16 waiting to be done. (Procrastinator - see above)
